Coyote Creek Bike Ride

After a pretty busy week at school, Martin Luther King Jr. Day comes up so that we can have a nice three-day weekend! I spent most of the first day catching up on some sleep and doing a minor amount of homework, but today was a awesome bike day.
Here's me with my lovely green Columbia bike.
We rode for about 4 miles before taking a short snack break.
We spelled out the word "YOU" and ate Asian Sesame snacks. Yes.

When we finally got to our final stop, we decided to eat, eat, take pictures, eat, take pictures, dance, take pictures, and eat.

The view there was amazing, and the weather was perfect. I had a really relaxing time just watching all the birds swim and waddle around.

It got dark really quickly and it was only 6 PM, so we had to bike a lot faster on the way back.

I had a really nice time hanging out with my family again but starting tomorrow is the start of another busy week!

Union Square

A great way to spend the last day of break is to go to San Francisco's Union Square! My sister, Erin, had a rehearsal this morning, so our whole family decided to go to SF to relax a bit, too.
It was really cold at 8 in the morning, but it was fun watching the rehearsal. The show's on Wednesday from 6-7:30 PM at the Union Square ice skating rink in San Francisco (if you want to come watch--it's FREE). A lot of National/International-level skaters will also be there!!
We ate an early lunch at The Cheesecake Factory.

The Cheesecake Factory was the highest floor in the building, giving us the privilege to stand next to the Macy's sign.

I had a great time hanging out with my family one more time before school starts again (tomorrow)!

Piperoid New Year

On the last day of 2012, we went to the Winchester Mystery House. It was very exciting and interesting, but the best part was... visiting the gift shop afterwards!!
I bought Piperoid. My new favorite paper pipe robots!
And because today is the first day of 2013... I thought, "What better way to start the new year than to make little paper robots?"
After some cutting and figuring out...
The two robots are complete! On the left is Lift, and on the right is Pitch. Their mouths are little memo holders, which I think is super clever.

Here are the descriptions of the two robots: "Lift is a powerful straight shooter, full of confidence and the belief in himself as always being the champion. Pinch, on the other hand, is quick and full of techniques, always using his sharp mind to put together strategies..."

Happy New Year!
